The final chapter of Collegelands is being written, this is your opportunity to be part of it.
Almost 20 years since Collegelands was first created, the final piece of the jigsaw is now being proposed.
Collegelands Park – a mixed use space – with a park, community lounge and arts centre, student residence and contemporary apartments, just a short walk from Strathclyde University and the city centre – will complete the Collegelands masterplan.
In creating a unique place to live, work and play for today but which reflects the heritage of the past, we want the local community to help shape our plans.
Community Consultation
We are using this website to support our consultation process which will run until a planning application is submitted in summer. Thanks to everyone who attended the community drop in event on 26th March 2024 and who provided feedback either at the event or online. We are now reviewing all feedback and will consult further on more detailed plans in May/June 2024. You can still to view the initial consultation information by clicking the link below.

Collegelands Park Proposal
At the heart of Collegelands Park will be a new 2.5 acre park, bringing a much-needed green space, a new set of lungs, to the city.
Landscape architects and community groups are working with us to create the park - an area almost three times the size of the city’s Blythswood Square Gardens.
A place to relax, catch up with friends and exercise surrounded by orchard and blossom trees, with a social garden space for residents and community growing plots.
A community lounge and arts centre, run by local charity, Dream Machine Productions, is planned at Collegelands Park.
586 student beds for rent
182 new apartments
Creation of a new 2.5 acre park
Community lounge and arts centre
